Sunglasses

I live in a very sunny area, so I need to protect my eyes. I'm thinking of getting a pair of racing glasses from

My possible future sunglasses!!!
XX2i Optics. They look like a store for me, because they have a life time warranty, and 365 day trial! I'm pretty clumsy, so the lifetime warranty will definitely be helpful for me. I also can't decide whether to get rimmed or non-rimmed, so I'm happy with the return policy. Do you have sport sunglasses? If so, do you wear them often, and are they worth it?
Thanks!!!

Treadmill Practice 1

After my Intrasquad Meet I was really bored watching reruns of Cupcake Wars, so I decided to go my condo's workout room. I decided I was going to do some running and a little biking (since my ride was cancelled). I ran three miles at a 7:00 minute mile pace and a half mile cool down jog. After running I did a few crunches and pull ups then went straight into my easy 3 mile bike ride. I worked on the technique of my freestyle stroke while on the bike. Right now my stroke looks terrible, so I have to practice in front of a mirror. The entire run I wore my Team Winter headband, and it didn't slip at all. Team Winter is an amazing organization founded by a 13 year old girl. You can check out their website: http://teamwinter.org/
They are one of the two websites I'm completely obsessed with. The other being http://milesplit.com/.

Intrasquad Meet

Today my club swim team hosted an intrasquad meet at our practice pool. The meet was mainly for various fundraising, since it couldn't be official. Well, technically it could be, but I don't think any other teams would attend, since we swim in a meter pool. Right now it is short course season, which means teams in the state compete in 25 yard pools (we have a 25 meter). In April long course season begins, and swimmers swim in 50 meter pools (aka "Olympic length"). Anyway, today I swam the maximum of 4 events. Now that I'm 13 I'm not allowed to swim 50s (2 laps) except for the 50 freestyle anymore :(. So, I swam the 200 IM (Individual Medley), 100 Fly, 50 Free, and 200 Free. I beat my times in the 200 IM and the 100 fly, but not in the others, because of various issues (bad start, no warm up/cool down pool, etc). Following the meet I was going to go on a bike ride with my friend and his dad, but it didn't work out, because it was late by the time the meet ended. At the meet I used my Camelbak insulated water bottle. The bottle looks really cool, it looks like it has 1 water bottle inside the other. It's also very efficient and can hold ice inside of it without melting for over 2 hours!

So, you seem to have stumbled upon my blog...
In case you don't know me, Sophia, I'm a 13 year old girl who loves writing, running, biking, swimming, and triathlons. Hopefully, by the end of 2013 I hope to complete an Olympic distance triathlon, and a half marathon (if my coach lets me). Currently XC (cross country) season and triathlon season have just ended, so I'm focusing more on swimming at the moment. However, I do have various 5Ks that I'll be blogging about  every weekend I don't have a swim meet. This blog will also consist of commentary on my practices, good clothing/equipment, and major televised sporting events. That's all for now, but you can always check out some of my other posts!
Thanks for reading!
